Exceptional Records are a deliberately eclectic dance label based in West London. Electronica, deep house, breakbeat, hip hop and broken beats sit comfortably side-by-side on our roster.
So how do we choose the tracks that we unleash upon the world? The only rule is that it has to sound great. We don't discriminate against genres, tempo or style. I guess we sound like an electronic, eclectic, funky, fun mix of vocal, live instuments and basslines, lovingly compiled by artists from across the world. Or something like that...
At the dawn of man(and woman)kind, across the oceans and lands of the world, there were people who made such great sounds that it was decided they needed to be heard by everyone. So man and woman created the wheel, which met it's destiny in the vinyl record. Thanks to these enlightened minds, we are able to absorb the glitch beats, singing basslines, calm melodies and harmonious voices from a wide selection of homosapiens from around the world.
We have been influenced by all of these people and the various noises they have made and are still being made. What we bring you is a wide selection of the best of the noises between the thoughts of those around us all.
