Bio

Manudub Soundsystem is a project developed by Manudub, a well-known southern french underground dub activist. Discovering dub at an early age, Manudub was heavily influenced from bands like The Clash and The Slits, inspiring him to join his first band, playing bass in an experimental space/dub crossover group.

Then came the late 80's and the acid house revolution...

Marss, renegade soundwave, the orb, ar Kane and many others pushed Manudub to discover a new musical horizon. It was at this time he switched over and bought a pair of turntables and began honing his skills. Whilst working at Wax Records, an indie record store in Marseille, Manudub began to host his own radio show called “grenouilles” along with Prince Freedom. As his music and contacts developed, he began playing eclectic dub festivals and gigs all across Europe. Throwing down his laid back lo-fi magic, Manudub has your mind in a spin, dropping roots, dub and ambient vibes, he has a true sense for that chilled downtempo flow.
