Volume 1 is the first release for the ultra talented Madplaid. A refined blend of soundscapes drawing from jazz, hip hop, soul and classical, Madplaid is one smooth beat maestro. Piecing liquid melodies with crunchy beats his sound is unmistakably chilled to say the least.
With a strong emphasis on melody and an almost progressive sound arrangement, Volume 1 consistently glides between lounge, jazz and a warm atmospheric sound that delivers on so many levels. A quality album and unique collection of blissed out beats.

Volume 2, sees the maestro of chill Madplaid throw down some dangerously blunted vibes. Rolling off the back of volume 1, his second release maintains his high level of production and sound.
Mixed in with his trademark lush soundscapes and soulful melodies, Madplaid incorporates a few slightly quirkier sounds this time round. Using plodding orchestral sounds mixed in with crunchy marching beats, almost paying homage to the history of sampling culture.
Remaining consistently blunted, Volume 2 yet again raises the bar on yet another quality album.

Dan Litwin, the artists behind the notorious "MadPlaid" grew up and still resides on the east coast in southern New England, USA. Growing up on a diverse range of music, Litwin pays homage to his stepfather for being his first and foremost musical influence.
From the Clash to Weather Report, Pat Metheny to Frank Zappa, Litwin has had a rich and diverse musical upbringing, only recently understanding the immense impact his stepfather has had on his present style and sound.
Whether it's with his Trigger Finger and Keystation or the other members of the P.P., his only desire is to keep progressing and honing his skills. MadPlaid will surely be one to watch in the near future, pushing his lush sampled sounds throughout the world.
